Listing

The feenix.ai platform supports SaaS and server product listings, where SaaS listings are typically multi-tenant solutions that are deployed by the seller and the subscriber would gain access to them. However, in cloud marktplaces, they could also be solutions that are deployed by the seller in the buyers cloud account. Server products are images of software that is made available through the cloud marketplace, and the buyer gets access to deploy that software on compute instances that they deploy in theri account.

In this section, we will focus on SaaS listings and how the feenix.ai platform can support the creation of new listings, or migrating existing ones.

Listing Management

After onboarding a seller account, the platform will import listing information from that seller account. To view the listings, navigate to the “products” menu where you can find current listings in that account.

This view enables the user to create new listings, or manage current listings. Each listing will have one of the following "States" values:

Listing exists in the cloud marketplace account, has been imported but is not managed by the feenix.ai platform

Listings in this stats are in read-only mode and can be migrated to manage by feenix.ai

Listed

A listing that has been successfully created by feenix.ai or migrated to the feenix.ai platform

Fully managed by the feenix.ai platform

Listing Failed

A listing that failed at creation via the AWS Marketplace API. Hovering over the note or viewing the slider will provide details on the failure reason

To clear this state, you can click the "Reset" action item to clear the failure and re-create the listing request

Update Failed

A listing that failed an update request via AWS Marketplace API. Hovering over the note or viewing the slider will provide details on the failure reason

To clear this state, you can click the "Reset" action item to clear the failure and retry the update

Updating

A transient state for a listing that is has been updated but AWS Marketplace has not completed the update request

Some updates take 5-10 minutes to get processed, while others take days (required AWS Marketplace review)

Mismatched URL

The fulfillment URL for the SaaS listing for the listing does not match the one received from AWS Marketplace

Clicking the migrate button will force the update to the fulfillment URL

Update Visibility

Request a visibility change between restricted, limited and public. Requests to change listings from limited to public will take 1-7 days as they have to be reviewed by AWS Marketplace. The same timeline if you want to move from public to limited or restricted

Migrate

Will move an unmanaged listing to be managed by feenix.ai and will update the SaaS subscription / fulfillment page to be deployed by feenix.ai. For limited listings this change will take 5-10 minutes, however, public listing updates will require AWS Marketplace review and approval

For each SaaS listing, you can view the list of active and registered subscribers to the prduct by clicking on the "i" in the subscribers column to see both tables.

Creating a new SaaS listing

To create a new product, the user can click on "Add" and select from SaaS Contract or SaaS subscription. This depends on how they sell their product today, and SaaS contract is the most common option and offers a term subscription, with the option to include overage charges

Migrating existing. SaaS Listings

For users with existing unmanaged SaaS listings, where they have set up a registration page through a third-party solution. The user can migrate these listings to feenix.ai by clicking on the grey feenix.ai logo and provide some basic product information about the listing and the registration page. After completing the form and clicking the “Migrate” button, the platform will automatically deploy the registration page, update the listing to link to the new registration page.

Listing templates

To make it easier to create multiple listings, listing templates can be used to save the listing information for use to create multiple listings. The user can save the template after filling out the form, then you can re-used on the next listing creation attempt.

Once a template is selected, the user can update it and to clear the selection they can click "x" next to the template selection menu
